ABOUT ZIN
ZIN is the project to transform Towers 1 and 2 of the WTC complex in the Brussels North area. This emblematic project is the first in the North area to combine different functions in a highly innovative way.

Zin Title  First pouring of circular concrete in Belgium – from 30,000 tons of rubble to 30,000 tons of new, high-grade concrete

ZIN sets great store by sustainability and is the first building that extensively applies the principles of circularity and Cradle-to-Cradle. On 11 June, the first pouring of circular concrete took place at the ZIN construction site using C2C silver certified™ concrete. Many partners, and the press, had noted this significant event in their diary. Befimmo ranks as a pioneer and contributes to a greener construction sector. If you are curious about how the day went and how Befimmo brought it to a successful conclusion, click here for more information.

Zin Title  Assembling cranes with cranes up to a height of 152 metres

The Dufour group assembling four new cranes in April marked the start of a new phase in the project: the reconstruction stage. We bade farewell to De Meuter and welcomed Open Minds, the consortium comprising CFE, BPC, VMA and Van Laere. Open Minds has assumed responsibility for the redevelopment of the two towers and the construction of the central structure connecting the two towers. Curious about how cranes erect cranes? Zin Title  ZIN as eyecatcher during the digital version of “Open site day”

On Sunday 30 May, it was possible to pay a virtual visit to the ZIN construction site from your home. Because of the corona pandemic, the open site event was exceptionally held digitally, with ZIN as one of 124 construction sites you could visit. Discover the virtual tour at the ZIN construction site here.
